eSun spool widener
thingiverse
The most obvious reuse of a filament spool is to wind something else like cable or rope onto it! If the spool is too large, that's not a major issue but if it's too small, you're in trouble. Luckily, eSun's spools are designed as two symmetrical parts that aren't welded together, they're screwed and can be unscrewed, allowing you to add a propeller and reassemble everything together. All you'll need is two M6 x 35mm screws and two M6 nuts for additional parts. The shape is hollowed out; if you want it plain, use the "novoid" version. It also comes with a support for screw holes, but if you don't want that, just use the "nosupport" version.
