SummaryIf you ever wanted to find a purpose for your empty Esun brand filament spools, print these parts to turn them into mini-drawers!Any quality/layer size should work, i've done them at 0.28mm previously in PLA.The holes for the hinges may be too small on the spool as they can vary in size ( on my spool it fits 3 of the 4 holes but other hole is too small), so if this happens shave the hole with an Exacto knife or similar tool until the hinges can fit in.You will need to print 4 Drawers (two of them mirrored from this STL), 4 Hinges and 2 Hinge Opposite Clips per spool of drawers. The drawers are designed to be printed single wall for 0.4mm nozzle to minimise filament use ( you can increase line thickness if you want somewhat stronger drawers ) and the lower internal edges are rounded/thickened to help against tearing and give material-efficient rigidity. The thin walls also allow using uncolored PLA or similar material to have see through drawers for easy contents identification. About 84g of PLA/spool, not including alignment rings.I've sliced the hinges lengthwise for easier printing and to align layers to the length for strength, you will need 2 prints of them for 1 set of hinges ( 4 prints total for a spool). You can squeeze them in side by side into the holes and they should stay there just fine.If the hinge opposite clip tends to fall out, just apply a little glue to it (any glue should do, the load on it should be minimal)The alignment ring is meant to fit in the space in the middle of the spools to allow stacking and rotating spools on top of each other, but in practice i found my spools have greatly varying space sizes where the ring is supposed to fit. Your mileage may vary. You can print these with as little infill as you want, they don't really take significant loads.
