The center ring on the original model did not fit in my eSUN cardboard spool. The OD was perfect, so yup the mfgs switch things up. My spools have a ID of around 53.2mm (it's probably 53? but that's what my calipers said). I made the ring to 52.5mm, and it fits correctly.I also rounded over the edges a little as shown.
