Estemmenosuchus Skull
thingiverse
An accurate Estemmenosuchus skull. Estemmenosuchus was a stem-mammal from the Permian period. It was most likely an omnivore with large portions of its diet being plant material, it has been theorized the large teeth may function as the large canine teeth in hippos. It is possible the plates and antler-like skull protrusions may also be for sparing. This model features a functional snapping jaw. some of the detail around the lips may also be inaccurate. In order to make the jaw functional, some accuracy was sacrificed. The jaw would not come in contact with the skull like that and those small holes in the skull where the jaw slides in is also not accurate. Printed on my Ender 3pro, 10% infill, high quality. using Fila sapphire blue PLA (possibly my favorite filaments I have used.)
