Espresso Machine Sieve Holder Stand
thingiverse
So, I underwent surgery on Christmas Eve to reattach a severed tendon in my hand, leaving me unable to use my right hand for several weeks. To celebrate the holiday season, my wife gifted me an espresso coffee machine, which is fantastic but poses a significant challenge when used with one hand. The main issue lies in filling and tamping down the coffee grounds within the sieve holder, as it tends to tip over easily on its own. This requires holding the handle of the espresso machine with the left hand while compressing the coffee granules. Fortunately, TinkerCad and a 3D printer came to my rescue. I designed and printed a custom base to securely hold the sieve holder in place, creating a stable foundation that resists tilting regardless of the force or angle applied. This innovative solution allows me to operate the espresso machine with one hand, making it an indispensable accessory for anyone facing similar mobility constraints. This design is specifically tailored to fit the Silverlake Espresso Machine with milk frother, which I purchased from Lidl in the UK.
