Espresso coffee cup 2
thingiverse
My second attempt at designing a coffee cup in Autodesk 123Design. Take a look at my first version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:719140. This design prints better when you add supports under the base of the handle within Cura's settings, rather than everywhere. The feature that allows this can be accessed from build plate only, so you should take advantage of it to get a smoother finish. If you plan on using your printed cup with hot coffee in real life, I recommend printing with a food-safe filament that offers excellent thermal resistance such as Nylon or Colorfabb XT (I used the latter for my design). For safety reasons, it's best to avoid PLA and ABS as they're not suitable for this type of application - PLA might deform under hot coffee and ABS isn't "chemically friendly" for eating purposes, although I must mention that neither is perfectly safe when in contact with food.
