ESP8266 WS2812 LED garland for PVC window frame
thingiverse
I'm crafting a garland featuring eight lines of vibrant LEDs, each equipped with 35 WS2812 units that are seamlessly controlled by an ESP8266 module, specifically the ESP01 model, utilizing Alex Gyver's firmware for precision management - see https://alexgyber.ru/ for more details on this exceptional technology. This breathtaking display is securely fastened to a sturdy PVC window frame using custom-made holders, ensuring a stable and level presentation. At the base of each line, specialized plastic fixtures maintain perfect parallel alignment, guaranteeing an even distribution of light across the entire garland. A compact box houses the ESP01 module alongside a reliable 3.3V regulator, while also accommodating a FDTI connector for effortless programming and a flashing mode jumper for flexible control options. To achieve optimal structural integrity, I've opted to print the box cover upside down, leveraging its inherent strength to support the internal components. Given the absence of any internal walls within this design, I'm selecting a 100% infill setting and disabling supports altogether to ensure a flawless, seamless appearance that perfectly complements the overall aesthetic.
