ESP8266 Sensor Platform
thingiverse
I built this case because I needed a compact platform to connect sensors and a 3.7V li ion battery for my homeassistant projects. The D1mini ESP8266 board can be flashed with e.g. esphome (https://esphome.io/) or tasmota (https://tasmota.github.io/docs/) and connected to your homeassistant instance. To connect your peripherals/sensors to the D1mini you can use the D1mini development shield: https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl For my first implementation I used a capacitive soil moisture sensor: https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl and there is a great video on youtube for the soil moisture sensor using tasmota and homeassistant although esp home is also a grate firmware to flash the ESP8266 with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPRVKi4uFVE&t=1024s&ab_channel=EddyD%27sSmartHome BOM: M3x10mm DIN7984 screw https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl M3 nut ISO4032 https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl DCDC step up converter https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl D1mini ESP8266 board https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl 3.7V Li Ion charger USBC https://www.reichelt.at/at/de/entwicklerboards-ladeplatine-fuer-3-7v-li-akkus-usb-c-1a-debo1-3-7li-1-0a-p291398.html or 3.7V Li Ion charger microUSB https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-Prototyping-Shield-NodeMCU-ESP8266/dp/B07VQ68XJL?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1VTMCQ0DTSH8G&keywords=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield&qid=1646426248&sprefix=d1%2Bmini%2Bshield,aps,85&sr=8-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=johannesf1-21&linkId=05a6cf65abab6678d8670266d1a420e9&language=de_DE&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
