ESP8266 Programmer Version 2

ESP8266 Programmer Version 2

thingiverse

This is a straightforward two-part case for an ESP8266 USB programmer that I created. The programmer works seamlessly with the Arduino IDE to program the target board just like Wemos and Node MCU development boards do. My goal here was to make it possible for the target board to function solely with a 6-pin header for an external programmer to connect to, eliminating the need for a USB circuit on the board. This approach is both more cost-effective and easier to implement, making it ideal for low-power ESP8266 designs as well since the programmer circuit isn't powered when unplugged. I've shared additional information about this project at https://www.mottramlabs.com/products.html. You can also find some of my boards on eBay at https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/mlabs2018/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=.
