If it's too tight, simply sand off some of the bevel on the lid to create a smoother joint. Supports are only necessary for the access slot at the bottom. If you're confident in your printer's bridging capabilities, you may not need any supports at all. To print this case successfully, change the orientation so that it lies flat on the build plate.
