ESP8266 Huzzah Feather Project Case
thingiverse
What's up everyone. This project is all about the Huzzah Feather. It can hold a 2000mAh LiPoly battery, the Huzzah Board, and there's even room left over for creative types to add sensors like a DHT11/22 sensor. I built this as a temperature/humidity sensor for my greenhouse project. The Huzzah wakes from deep sleep every 10 minutes, takes a reading, connects to WiFi and sends the data to an Amazon DynamoDB table. A server-side python script then plots the data using Bokeh. The binary can be downloaded here: https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/ds01222018-mypublicbucket/public/esp8266_datalogger.ino.bin. Check out the source code and instructions for this project at https://github.com/gunkl/ESP8266-Datalogger. Here are some important settings in the project that can be set using the serial console after flashing the ESP, no need to modify the source code. The Huzzah can be installed with or without headers soldered to the board. There's even space under the pins for wires to pass, however you cannot use connectorized wires to connect to the pins as there is insufficient space. You must solder or otherwise create a low profile connection.
