I've been tasked with monitoring the temperature and humidity levels in a controlled environment using an Arduino Mega microcontroller. My sensor ESP8266 module plays a crucial role in collecting this data, which is then transmitted wirelessly to my Android smartphone or PC. In particular, I have been working on an autonomous case using SolidWorks 2015 software to design the structural framework that houses the components and keeps them stable and organized within the controlled area. This case provides excellent protection for all the electronic modules and helps prevent accidental damage due to extreme temperature variations. My custom sensor module features four thermocouples and two capacitive humidity sensors. One of the thermocouples is mounted near a window, while another is located on an adjacent wall in direct sunlight to observe differences between them. Two identical probes with humidity sensors have also been placed under a wooden canopy to record conditions indoors.
