ESP8266 Dome Enclosure
thingiverse
Basic Enclosure for NodeMCU V3 + PIR. Adding Individual Covers for Different Sensors. Remember, this design is specifically for the V3. The standoffs are 25mm and 52mm apart with a 3mm peg at their center. This enclosure is designed to be powered by USB (for now). The base of the enclosure measures 7.5 CM in diameter, while its total height, including the lid, is 3.3 CM. Interchangeable Lid: Swap out the smaller insert for quick part changes. I used Tinkercad to cut out a correct slot because my usual software wasn't exporting the STL correctly. Interchangeable Insert Blank (I2): Drill or cut it however you want to fit your favorite sensor, keeping in mind that all inserts are roughly 35MM in size to keep the design compact. I2 TSL2561 (I2T): This insert is specifically designed for Illuminance sensors. I2 TSL2561 and HTU21DF: This enclosure provides provisions for both illuminance and temp+humidity breakout boards from Adafruit, with the temperature/humidity slot featuring hexacomb vents for added style. PIR Dome: The standard Parallax PRT#555-28027 fits perfectly in this dome, and its size should also work with any PIR sensor with Fresnel Lens PRT#NL11NH. I had to use standoffs to meet the breakout board but my file kept corrupting on export so for now I used hot glue. The hole is slightly reduced hopefully that helps keep the part firm. Blank Dome: Print it with 100% fill or whatever you prefer and drill out to meet your needs. Note: The image shows a base without screw hangar slots as I had printed it off before adding holes, and I don't feel like printing another!
