ESP8266 DHT22 sensor enclosure
thingiverse
I built an enclosure specifically designed for this sensor: https://home-assistant.io/blog/2015/10/11/measure-temperature-with-esp8266-and-report-to-mqtt/. The enclosure houses a DHT22 temperature sensor, an ESP8266 board, and a battery, which can be found at https://www.adafruit.com/product/2011. Although the battery is probably unnecessary for most applications due to WiFi's high power consumption, it was necessary for my particular use case. The enclosure includes standoffs that can accommodate a Feather Huzzah, and I'm confident that it will also fit a Node MCU with ease. A USB port on the side allows for easy connection of a power supply. To achieve a low-profile design while still leaving room for additional wires or sensors, I deliberately left some space within the enclosure.
