ESP32 Waveshare 2.9 inch pico ePaper display
thingiverse
A simple display for the waveshare 2.9 inch pico epaper connected to a ESP32 (30 pin) with DHT22 temp/humidity sensor. Display I used: https://www.waveshare.com/pico-epaper-2.9.htm (Even when not connected to a pico I found it convenient that it has the dupont connectors at the back) The static display quality of this module is good but I expected the refresh to be more like an ereader, but it is far from it, I use the waveshare demo code and a refresh takes around 10 seconds with a lot of flickering. (I think it is making sure the microcapsules are cleared from their previous position, with one color displays the refresh might be better.) For applications that do not refresh very often these are good, If you do want to refresh every few seconds or so this might not be a good choice. Also I did found libraries that should reduce the amount of flickering, I did not try these. I update the display once every 3 minutes and live with the flickering :) (I did not try these yet but for anyone interested these links seemed promising: https://github.com/olikraus/u8g2/issues/318, https://github.com/ZinggJM/GxEPD) ESP32 I used: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/original-diymore-esp-32s-esp-wroom-32-esp32-esp-32-bluetooth-and-wifi-dual-core-cpu-with-low-power-consumption-mcu-esp-32-i1261152755-s3786976158.html Uses one M4 nut and bolt (~20mm length) plus the bolts to mount the display, esp32 and dht22
