ESP32 T Display Case
thingiverse
This project case was designed specifically for one of the ESP32 microprocessor development boards - the Lilygo T-Display. It works perfectly for me, and so I wanted to share. This development board is powerful (contains two microprocessors) and highly versatile (with multiple general purpose GPIO pins, plus on-board WiFi and Bluetooth). It can be programmed using the Arduino IDE and has lots of library code support, making it a great starting place for electronics projects. One of the features that attracted me was the integrated display on the board with all display connections already made. This greatly simplifies my breadboard style projects, but for this design I wanted a project case to hold one of my successful designs, hence this solution. The case design is in two parts - it's effectively a box with a snap-fit lid. The box is turned over so that the 'bottom' becomes the top and allows the display to be seen. In my project variants, I have also added an inner compartment to hold a battery, and additional holes in the casing to take controls and connectors. The outer dimensions are 100mm x 50mm x 30.5mm. The case thickness is 2mm for each wall so that inner dimensions are 96 x 46 x 26.5mm. The key feature of this box is that the T-Display processor board will simply slide in, and remain captive. NOTE: The enclosed photos and video show a variant that has additional features including assembly holes and battery compartment. These are not included in the design files. For information, the ESP32 T_Display board manufacturer is here: http://www.lilygo.cn/prod_view.aspx?TypeId=50033&Id=1126&FId=t3:50033:3 The development boards are attractively priced and can be purchased from many outlets, including here: https://www.banggood.com/2pcs-TTGO-T-Display-ESP32-CP2104-WiFi-Bluetooth-Module-1_14-Inch-LCD-Development-Board-p-1532912.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=UK
