ESP32 Mini Case (for WLED)
prusaprinters
To hide the ESP32 for my WLED project I designed this case that fits for ESP32 Mini versions.I used an DC-Plug 5.6/2.1mm that comes from my Power supply, an XT30 plug to connect the stripe to the power, so that everything can be unplugged at any time. The ESP doesnt need mounting, the lid holds everything in place. I threaded the corners to M3 for easy mounting. The lid needs a tiny amount of support, therefore the cablemanagment is much easier. Think the picture explains everything else.Take care about polarity of the 3pin extension cables. Some use different colors compared to the LED stripes. I needed to change the pins (its possible to take them out with trick and insert in correct order). The USB hole fits to USB-C, a small hole to access the reset switch is present too if needed.Ad add on I designed some LED-Stripe holder for my 1m/144LED version to prevent the nees of the adhesive tape and be more flexibel to remove. (So it is possible to show printing progress as LED-bar (octoprint plugin)).My LED stripes have a width of 12.3mm - they snaps in softly and can be taken out too (did it a few times now) have fun!
