ESP32-CAM with 18650Akku Cover
thingiverse
This is a Cover for the ESP32Cam and 18650Akku together. It offers easy access to card in/out, power switch and mini-USB for loading the akku. This device is designed for time lapse (based on [bitlunis camtimelapse][1]), the preparation and Start/Stop is handled in Browser via Wifi. This way I don't need extra elements like display or button. ESP32Cam ([e.g. amazon][2]) In Order to use as least space as possible I removed the connectors I don't need and bended the connectors I need (for programming). To program the ESP32, the housing must be taken apart. Between the akku holder and the ESP I putted an old 1-2 layer hight TPU 'foil' to avoid electricity at the wrong place The 18650 Akku holder ([e.g. amazon][3]) ..is the central element here. I just learned that this is not the cheapest way to use 18650 akkus (including usb loading, short circuit and discharge protection andand..) hence certainly not the most common akku holder.. so, If don't have one you shouldn't directly buy one but search for "tp4056" as well. Anyway, i have these parts and used them for my time lapse with this native-instruments.dee switch on the side. To save space I removed the USB-A Adapter but took its power connection to keep the switch working (the switch is not connected to the other power outs). It's made in Fusion360. As usual I offer my project file so you can easily change it for different use cases.
