ESP32 Breadboard Brace

If you have worked with many types of ESP32 or ESP32-S2 dev kit boards you know they do not always fit well onto either a standard breadboard or two attached standard breadboards if you want to assess to all the pins. This 3D print is a solution to that problem. It also requires two standard full length (830 tie-point 4 power rail) breadboards. The brace is used to combine a couple of standard breadboards, which have been hacked a bit as described below, for a perfect fit for working with many ESP32 or ESP32-S2 dev boards. Step 1 involves printing the 3d print – a .stl file and the original .f3d (Fusion 360) file are both included. Step 2 involves cutting the rightmost strip off the first standard breadboard and trimming away the tabs. Step 3 involves trimming off the tabs from the second standard breadboard. Step 4 involves removing the back protective film from the sticky pads on the bottom of each breadboard and placing the breadboard (hole side up) in the 3D printed brace. Please take a close look at the included pictures for the correct orientation of the two breadboards. However, basically the breadboard from Step 1 above goes in the smaller slot with its power rails closest to the outside of 3d printed brace, while the breadboard from Step 2 above goes in the larger slot with its row numbers aligned to the row numbers of the breadboard already placed in the first smaller slot. I hope you will find the end result is a very stable and secure solution for working with your ESP32 or ESP32-S2 dev kit boards. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: I3 MK3S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 15 Filament: Prusament PLA PLA Notes: A potential mod to this project would be to put groves in the 3D printed brace which would allow for a standard breadboard to simply fit in. I did not do this for two reasons: i) I found it various ‘standard’ breadboards have their slots in slightly different positions, and ii) I believe the final product looks much better this way.
