This cover is used on ESP Horizon (or other) guitars to close the electronics cavity. When in need for a battery to power the electronics, unscrewing the cover is needed to replace the battery (if no seperate battery cavity is provide (eg.: on original, passive guitar versions)). This design is an adaption of the standard cover to make the battery approachable and easy to change.
