ESP-01 Mouse Trap
thingiverse
When you live in the country and have multiple buildings to deal with, rodent attacks are always a threat. Now you can set up a trap without constantly checking on it. This design utilizes a micro switch purchased from Amazon. The included nut plate was used with 2-56 screws; however, m2.5 screws could also be employed by drilling the necessary holes. The battery/ESP holder originated as https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:535688, (thank you) and underwent modifications to accommodate a trap frame. A box on the bottom corner was removed to facilitate this adaptation. I used PVC pipe glue to assemble the entire device. Four units were created in different colors to track their locations and identify which one has triggered the trap. The code is straightforward: simply contact IFTTT with your account, trigger your applet, and put the ESP into deep sleep using ESP.deepSleep (0). A flaw was discovered in the ESP mounting design. While it functions properly when placed indoors on a second floor or shelf, the antenna against a concrete floor doesn't work well. If you're dealing with this situation, print the EspHolder file instead of nutPlate, as seen in the black version.
With this file you will be able to print ESP-01 Mouse Trap with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on ESP-01 Mouse Trap.
