The strainer-type filter systems used are not optimally efficient and often retain stage 4 larvae and pupae. For the sake of efficiency, pasteur "pupa picker" pipettes should be used on quantities of less than 50 individuals. For larger quantities, we are offering here a brand new filtration system that only retains female and male pupae.
