ESK8 covers
thingiverse
Electric skateboard covers designed specifically for concave decks feature dual VESC4 modules equipped with capacitors and space to accommodate a receiver. The screw holes are manufactured to fit M4 7mm screws, but they have been found to be slightly loose, so a revised version will be uploaded shortly. To improve the structural integrity of my print, I melted M3 nuts from old laptops into the housing. The covers also include a battery compartment that can accommodate a 10S3P 18650 pack consisting of two 5S3P units, as well as a BMS, charge port, and Luna Cycle solid-state switch. Please note that it is essential to verify whether the concave deck design is compatible with your skateboard. In June 2018, I made some significant updates to the design. Firstly, I created a modified STL file for longer screws, which resolved an issue of delamination under stress. Additionally, I upgraded my deck to M5 rampanuts and hex bolts, also known as in-wood-screw-nuts. This modification significantly enhanced the structural integrity of the deck. In March 2019, I made further updates by creating a separate wire model for the VESC cover, which is suitable for larger motors. To improve the overall strength of the print, I increased the infill density.
