Escape to somewhere amazing and capture its essence! The Escape i Tri Pod is an innovative smartphone tripod that doubles as a spaceship for your phone. Its story began as a challenge at MakerBot headquarters during their Make-a-thon, where participants had to design a quick-print wonder that's both useful and breathtakingly awesome - moving parts being the icing on the cake! Although it's debatable whether this tri pod checks all those boxes, one thing is certain: it was an absolute blast to work with! If you decide to replicate it, take note of adjusting the tension between the slider rails and their corresponding holes; a 0.2mm gap seemed just right for our trusty machine at home, but those precision-made wonders at MakerBot HQ were still wrestling with how tight it was!
