Escalator Computer Dock

Escalator Computer Dock

thingiverse

This computer dock is based on Griffin's Elevator Notebook Stand design. Print two sets of each part using PLA filament, then cut seven pieces of 1/4" x 2" stock material for the legs. Delrin was used for legs but can be substituted with cheaper alternatives. The Macbook Pro rests about 3.5 inches above the desk when docked. Printing speed is roughly 75mm/s with 10% fill, no supports needed. For leg lengths, use four 8-inch pieces for top and bottom, two 5.4-inch pieces for back support, and one 5.2-inch piece for the front. Fasten with 14 bolts or an alternative method like glue or cable ties. Drill holes using a 3/32" bit if using 4-40 bolts, tap if necessary. Finally, assemble and enjoy using your new dock!
