ESC Case for Afro 12A
thingiverse
Here is a small stand alone case for the 12A Afro ESC. It may be of use to some people who are looking for a compact and functional design. I was inspired by another case someone had made for a 30A version, which sparked my creativity to create something similar but tailored to the 12A model. To assemble this part, two M2 sized nuts need to be pressed into the hex shaped holes after printing is complete. It's worth noting that the hole for the status LED wasn't present in the STL file, so I had to drill it later on. I removed the wires from my ESC's (and I wouldn't recommend doing this, as bullet connectors were hard to align), but with this case you may also be able to add a small heat sink pad (one of those squishy ones) to the MOSFETs for better cooling. The fit may be a little tight, so some filling will be required, especially where the servo wires exit. This is just a minor inconvenience that can be easily fixed with some sanding and filing.
