ES Drone Wing
grabcad
The "ES Drone Wing," designed by Ridwan S (https://www.instagram.com/ridwan.sept/), is a drone accessory created for the GrabCAD challenge "Make the Unmakeable." Inspired by a paper plane, this 3D-printed wing helps save energy from four motors. Once in flight, the wings function like para gliders or sugar gliders (animals), allowing the drone to maintain altitude and conserve power. If desired, additional wind direction devices can be added for more complex flight. The model was made with SolidWorks 2014 and rendered using KeyShot 5. File types include .SLDPRT, .IGS, .OBJ, and .STL, with a total of 34,162 vertices and 68,336 polygons. The wings are made from ABS plastic and can be downloaded for free, but users are encouraged to "heart" the design as payment.
