Here is my case for the Eryone Thinker S to seamlessly integrate an SKRv1.3, raspberry pi3, and three Lm2596 buck converters. I utilize one buck converter to power the Pi, another to energize the stock 5V heat break fan, and the third for potential upgrades like some 12V LEDs for illumination. I've upgraded my parts cooling fan to run on 24 volts. The XT60 connector I used is a very snug fit, which is exactly what you want; I employ a light to soften the backside of the XT60 mount and then push the XT60 in from the rear with some pressure, causing it to snap into place.
