Eros Drawing His Bow

This captivating artwork portrays Eros as he takes aim with his bow. Crafted from medium-grained Greek marble, the head, torso, right arm, left shoulder, right leg and knee down to the left leg are masterfully designed. The hands, left arm, lower left leg, feet, wings and base are expertly made of Carrara marble, added in the final quarter of the 16th century. This sculpture was created in the 2nd Century AD.
