Ermita Ntra Sra de las Angustias (León)

Ermita Nuestra Señora de las Angustias, a Romanesque church from the 13th century, is located in Puente Almuhey (Valderrueda, León), near the Cea River and its medieval bridge, close to where a Monastery once stood and an "Hospital of Puente de Muey" possibly belonged to the Order of Malta, as indicated by crosses inscribed on a temple window, a characteristic of this community. It has undergone several restorations since the 13th century. On the eastern facade, there is a carved stone window where two crosses attributed to the Order of Malta can be seen, hospitaliers who had a convent and hospital nearby.
