I designed a custom cradle for my affordable projector, perfectly fitting it alongside the original mount. I printed the cradle as it was oriented, with precise dimensions of 162x108.5x156 mm in mind. During installation, removing the rubber feet from the projector proved beneficial, allowing me to maintain tight tolerances that ensured a snug fit. To prevent any unwanted movement, I wrapped a rope securely around the entire setup, as shown in the picture. So far, it has proven to be very reliable.
