Ergonomic Hacksaw Handle w/3mm screws
thingiverse
This is a remix of mmOne's excellent Ergonomic Hacksaw Handle. I fell in love with the look of this handle at first glance. Now that I have a functional part in my hands, I can confidently say it feels amazing to hold. And I'm deeply impressed by the work he did to craft this design from a single print without supports. However, I encountered issues when making the slot too tight or too loose. If it's too tight, with the teeth biting on insertion, it won't fit properly. If it's too loose, it would rattle around and that could be quite annoying. One possible solution is to remix the original design with customized dimensions for a specific blade, which might make it work effectively. Alternatively, you could even cut a short piece of blade to press into the slot to loosen up only the tooth area. This beautiful design was crying out to be split down the middle and attached with screws. The slots and holes are specifically designed for M3 x 8mm long flat head screws with hex nuts. I also modified the slot to provide a better fit for the blades I have on hand (Dewalt Bi-Metal 12").
