Update 19/07/17: I have a new redesigned version for sale on cults http://cults3d.com/en/game/ergonomic-grip-for-ps-vita-v2-pch-1000. Original text: I've spent months working on this, and while it's not perfect, I'm confident that it beats any other option available - at least when it comes to comfort. The Vita fits snugly in the grip, which is slightly larger than before but has a shape almost identical to a 360 controller. If you like those controllers, you'll probably love this one. This grip has been designed for the original phat Vita model, and while the newer slim model might fit closely enough, the cradle is likely too deep. Anyone willing and able can try modifying it if they want. I've made some minor changes since taking pictures - specifically to the retention mechanism and a few other details. I haven't actually printed it yet, but the changes are small, so I don't think there will be any problems. I don't want to discourage anyone from printing this, but it's fair to say that it requires post-processing to get the best results. You'll need to glue some parts together and use soft adhesive pads for the retention pieces to work properly. If you're using PLA like I did, I highly recommend water-sanding once everything is assembled - the unprocessed surfaces aren't very pleasant to grip. After sanding mine with grits 120, 240, and 400, it's smooth and has just the right amount of texture. I'd love to hear from anyone who tries printing this! Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 microns Infill: 4% Triangular Notes: I recommend printing the top cradle part with a concentric top/bottom pattern to get better results. The picture I took was printed with the default line pattern. Also, I suggest adding extra bottom layers if you don't want empty layers in the base sections of the major parts. With 3 shells (1.2mm), this print could probably do fine without infill - but I'm probably not the best person to ask about that.
