ERC Timsav redesign

ERC Timsav redesign

thingiverse

This is basically a complete re-design of the ERC Timsav. This uses the same rails as Edward's original design, and the same build process. You can assemble this with his original videos. This requires a working knowledge of the original design. Changes I have made: -One piece gear drive head -Turn head 90 degrees -Added mounting flanges to the left and right plates -Added ability to mount Arduino to either side of right plate -Added plate to mount Arduino to X plate (servo wires don't have to move then) -Added a fourth roller to the X plate This uses a 9 gram servo - either a plastic or metal gear. Use a small cut-off piece of a servo arm pressed into the gear to make a positive drive. This is a V slot style head. You may have to sand the head to get it to fit properly. This requires a longer needle. I highly recommend the printed needle holder found in the ERC Timsav facebook group. Note that the attached pic includes an experimental aluminum plate for the weld tip mount. This is not necessary, but the only pic I have at this point. Please feel free to ask questions!
