er11 tool holder
thingiverse
We've crafted our own CNC mill from scratch and stocked it with an array of essential tools, including end mills, twist drills, chamfer bits, and more. However, we discovered that setting the tool stickout when inserting a tool in the spindle was a frustratingly tedious process. To solve this problem, we designed a clever holder that securely cradles the ER11 collet nut, the tool itself, and an appropriately sized collet within a single, easy-to-handle unit. By adjusting the depth of the hole in the holder, we can set the tool's stickout to a precise length, ensuring repeatable results. Our design comprises two key files: a DXF file that enables seamless publishing (with a 1/4" tool diameter and 40mm stickout), as well as an F3D file for creating a parameterized model.
