Simple tool for working with ER11 collet spindles combines functions of a spanner and box wrench. The open end is specifically designed for engaging the spindle shank, featuring a flat area that measures 13mm across from one side to the other. Meanwhile, the enclosed section of the tool, known as a box wrench, is optimized for securely gripping the collet ring itself; its flat area spans 17.25mm from one edge to the opposite. Manufacturing these tools through a 3D printing process using ABS material has proven effective when using settings that include an extrusion rate of 0.3mm and a structural integrity level that achieves full density at a fill ratio of 50%, complemented by the completion of four separate layers around its perimeter during construction. As a result, these printed tools prove capable of handling collet tightness with considerable force without causing undue damage to any underlying components.
