<p>Most of the equipment I use for work mounts to equipment stands/tripods/magnetic bases using a 3 ½"-8 thread ring. This is a protective cover installed on the threads during shipping or storage.</p><p>We use stands from Brunson, Faro, Quickset and MetrologyWorks with laser trackers and portable CMM Arms. This will fit all of those.</p><p>Inspiration taken from <a href="https://hubbsmachine.com/miscellaneous/191-3-1-2-8-to-5-8-11-instrument-adapter.html">Hubbs</a> and <a href="https://www.brunson.us/theodolite-adapter235-5.html">Brunson</a>.</p><p> </p>
