The Equilibrium cube is a straightforward and easily manufacturable model via additive manufacturing, consisting of two primary components for various design variations (1U, 2U, etc.). With this design, there are two distinct manufacturing and material options. Firstly, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) utilizes PEKK material, resulting in a lightweight and sturdy model that's easy to manufacture. Additionally, this material boasts high heat resistance of up to 200°C. The 1U specifications with PEKK material display a volume of 106.094 cm³ and a mass of 0.1355 kg, with a center of mass at X: 0.195 mm, Y: -1.590 mm, Z: 55.803 mm (Ground 0.0.0). The 2U specifications with PEKK material reveal a volume of 194.697 cm³ and a mass of 0.2488 kg, along with a center of mass at X: 0.137 mm, Y: -1.656 mm, Z: 112.512 mm (Ground 0.0.0). The second option is Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), which uses TiAl3 material. This lightweight material has a density of 3.3 gr/cm³ and allows for a light construction. It's also stable up to 200-300°C heat. The 1U specifications with TiAl3 material showcase a volume of 106.094 cm³ and a mass of 0.3501 kg, while the center of mass remains at X: 0.195 mm, Y: -1.590 mm, Z: 55.803 mm (Ground 0.0.0). The 2U specifications with TiAl3 material reveal a volume of 194.697 cm³ and a mass of 0.6425 kg, along with a center of mass at X: 0.137 mm, Y: -1.656 mm, Z: 112.512 mm (Ground 0.0.0).
