Equilateral stick knots: 9_49 and K12n630
thingiverse
The 9_49 and K12n630 knots built using the minimum number of equal length sticks. These knots were created by Aidan Aengus Kitchen, Arun Ghosh, and Alex Wolff (students in Math 383D Knot Theory Spring 2023). A description of how these knots were built can be found here: https://mathvis.academic.wlu.edu/2023/05/17/modeling-and-3d-printing-equilateral-stick-knots/ The data for the vertices of these knots is from Thomas D. Eddy: stick-knot-gen, efficiently generate and classify random stick knots in confinement https://github.com/thomaseddy/stick-knot-gen/tree/master/stick_number/mseq_knots from this paper: Thomas D. Eddy and Clayton Shonkwiler. New stick number bounds from random sampling of confined polygons. Experimental Mathematics 31 (2022), no. 4, 1373–1395.
