UPDATE 09.08.2019 Autodesk Fusion360 project link: https://a360.co/2NGpQWV The EQ-3 mount is a very light aluminum tripod with major problems due to its leg clamps. Although it's not heavy, these issues are significant. The plastic used in the clamp is weak and not UV proof. If you use this tripod extensively during the day, the plastic will eventually break down due to exposure to ultraviolet light. We at our astronomy club "Astronomische Vereinigung Vorderpfalz e.V." in Ludwigshafen, Germany made our own replacement parts because of these problems.
