Recently, some of the flange spokes on my EQ-3 MAX! radiator thermostat snapped off because I accidentally dropped something on them. Even after gluing the spokes back together, they didn't provide sufficient tension to secure the device in the union nut on the valve, causing the radiator to run continuously and heat up excessively.\r\n\r\nThis support ring is intended to be inserted into the flange of the thermostat, providing enough tension to prevent the teeth from being ejected from the nut, much like the original support ring that came with the device does its job perfectly.\r\n\r\nThe support ring was designed for a Danfoss RA valve, but it should fit on other valve models as well due to its compact size.
