The plant enzyme plays a crucial role in synthesizing essential amino acids, vital components of proteins and precursors for various chemical compounds in plants. Round-up herbicide interferes with this enzyme's function, leading to plant death by binding to it. However, Round-Up resistant plants possess a variant form of the enzyme that prevents such binding, enabling them to survive even after exposure to the herbicide. This MakerBot Replicator 2X printed model requires a custom profile with enhanced support structures; set "supportExcessive" to true in the standard quality profile and save as preset. The molecular structure, printed in three parts, is held together by magnets.
