Epoxy Cup Turner Mostly Parametric Insert Holders
prusaprinters
I have made a bunch for a christmas project because there are several of these on etsy and I could not find files for them. I was not going to pay the amount they wanted and figured it was easy enough to design one and then allow everyone here to use the files easier than creating their own. The shape allows for deflection and tension against the inner diameter of your cup. I uploaded the 2 I actually used. One for a wine style tumbler and another for a rubbermaid coffee mug. They work great and take a few hours to print depending on your settings. I have added the fusion file to this for anyone wanting to customize it. The parameters mostly work unless you go too large on the inner hub size for the PVC pipe. I cannot figure out why and the size it takes to break it is larger than you would need anyway. One parameter is for the size of your nozzle so that the walls are multiples of the nozzle. Hopefully this will make your project easier and please upload any remixes so that others can have the size needed without modifications. Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .28 Infill: 100 Filament: Inland PLA Black Notes: In cura, it seems that making the infill concentric and the top/bottom pattern concentric reduces print time. I used a brim just in case. It might work fine without but, I have not tried. Category: Tool Holders & Boxes
