This Public Domain OpenSCAD file showcases epitrochoids and hypotrochoids, which are beneficial in creating mechanisms like Roots Blowers, Wankel Engines, and Moineau Pumps. Epitrochoids are curves traced by a point fixed at a distance "d" to the center of a circle of radius "r" as it rolls outside another circle with radius "R," while hypotrochoids are curves traced when the circle rolls inside another circle. Epicycloids and hypocycloids occur when d = r.
