sketchfab
One of the medieval jurisdictions with its origins in the small town of Renedo de Valdetuéjar was a lordship. One of the lords of Prado had grand delusions of grandeur and built a palace, already in the Renaissance era, which contrasted with the poverty and ruralism of the place. By 1910, it was already in ruins. Many pieces of stonework, arches, shields, and inscriptions were sold off to hermitages and individuals, and can be seen in countless buildings constructed in the first half of the 20th century within a more or less nearby area. We have located this epigraphy that was used as a lintel on the facade of a ruined house in San Martín de Valdetuéjar. At the time of construction of this building, not all workers knew how to read and this may be the reason it was placed upside down. TO THE ALL-POWERFUL GOD AND TO CHRIST OUR LORD I AND TO ST. JOHN HIS GREAT PRIVATE DON ANTONIO DE PRADO SON OF HERNANDO NOT... It is from the 17th century -1625
