Epicyclic Bevel Gear Reducer
thingiverse
I created this compact gadget as a project for a 3D printing course with one crucial restriction: it must use no more than 1 inch cubed of material. All clearances are set at .020 inches, providing sufficient space for support materials to prevent the parts from merging together. The spiral gears produce exceptionally smooth and quiet operation. A gear ratio of 3:1 achieves efficient performance.
