An Astartes Strike Cruiser proxy model for Epic scale games (40k or Armageddon etc). 20191203: new picture, upscaled the model, hollowed out the core so a laser point could be inserted inside. Works fine. No files available. Just demonstrating a variation. [update 20171020: Netfabb was functioning properly today, so all new fixed files] [update 20171019: Fixed some edge issues] Requires superglue for assembly. Looks slightly blocky in the STLs but once printed it tends to soften and smooth out at this scale. A full model STL file is available for viewing only (though it has now been corrected as well, so it should print). The other 10 files (I will get around to naming them properly soon) contain segments of the ship and base that need to be assembled. The segment option is available in case your print jobs curl off the bed at the corners. No point printing something that looks like its Gellar field has failed. My alignment of the bits is slightly off, but nothing a solid dab of paint won't fix. Yes, the ship does balance quite well on the scatter base; I was surprised myself. Strike Cruisers only make a brief appearance on the table and aren't meant to be in any kind of relative scale. They're just a temporary marker while you deploy drop pods and so on. Speaking of which, I'm not a fan of scatter dice, so I've shamelessly stolen an idea from Halo's tabletop offering. Place the model at the intended location, roll a d6; on 1 or 6 you don't scatter. On 2, 3, 4, 5 you scatter, so roll the die again. The result matches one of the six directions on the scatter base. Then roll two d6 for scatter distance. Voila! Added bbShield-L.stl and bbShield-R.stl, which are extra shields to make the ship more battlebarge-like. At least that's what I used when converting an extra SC to a BB. Will post up a picture but with this conversion I removed the front 'main gun' and the gun-looking bits on the side wings, amongst other changes.
