An Astartes Deathstorm Drop Pod Proxy Model for Epic Scale Games. This model is a spiritual remix of two other designs, a drop pod and a whirlwind. The missiles from the whirlwind and the airfoil blade shape from the drop pod were used as inspiration. Thank you to the respective modellers. The choice of a 4-blade design over a 5-blade one was made for aesthetic reasons. It's probably unfluffy, but it looks different. The model is also slightly shorter and squatter than the original drop pod. Some extra surface details might be added later for visual interest. However, relying on paint to create these effects at this scale is likely safer. An updated version of the model has been added, called deathstorm2.stl. This version has been printed and works fine. Three out of four prints were made with this new design.
