This is my concept for a massive scale space insect Dactylis. The design draws inspiration from an incredible scratch-built model in 40k scale found online - unfortunately, mine doesn't live up to the original's grandeur, but creating it was a blast nonetheless. As a result, my version bears little resemblance to the out-of-print model that initially sparked its creation. To bring this vision to life, I started by crafting the basic body shape in Tinkercad using fundamental forms before transferring it to Blender and extensively sculpting it into existence from there.
