ePIc Pi ePIdemic ( Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 case )
thingiverse
This model has a lot to offer and plenty of excitement. Tested thoroughly, it's been printed several times and seems ready for sharing. To assemble this model, you'll need the following: 1 - base 1 - insert 1 - fan base 2 - caps 2 - trim rings Hardware (optional) is necessary as some parts may require assembly to stay in place. 4 - #6 x 1" screws to mount fan into fan base 2 - 6-32 x 1" screws to mount fan base to base 1 - 40mmx 40mm x 10mm fan I also added a few holes to the trim and body, allowing you to cut small lengths of filament for attaching the trim to the body if necessary. To ensure stability, it's recommended that you use four bumpons under the fan base. Mounting the fan so airflow is downward is suggested as it may drag air in from the side vents and over components, then out through the base. The assembly process is smooth, but be aware that the pi fits loosely into the base. This is intentional, as adding the insert locks everything into place. When installing the insert, center the ethernet/usb ports to avoid catching on small flanges around the usb ports. Enjoy building this model! Let's see what you create.
